What a bizarre and troubling story
I’m writing from the Western coastal end of the county so have no connection with the area or the business but, no way, does this story stand up legitimately unless there is some parallel or underlying alternate reason for this bar closure.
My questions are; why or how is the bar owner responsible for boy racers performing donuts in an adjacent Angel Lane car park? I mean, you’d think the two mentioned police officers or their bosses, (unable to tie links of that traffic related offence directly to the bar), should be the ones blamed for not addressing such unsociable boy racer behaviour.
And the other distasteful issue?
Urinating in the street is an unfortunate unwelcome practice but, again, blame the boys in blue or the Local Authority, (Yep, the one holding the power to revoke the bar’s licence), because, with the information available and looking on from afar, whatever is going down in this community has more to do with a failing local authority or police presence than a Shaftesbury cocktails and wine bar.
As for shutting a business down so, so swiftly? That makes no sense whatsoever and I know that, more often than not, even when a licensed premises gets tied up in some kind of an incident, there are usually a mediating progressive process for resolving issues put in place and yet here in this story, we have not even a hint of that occuring.
So what’s going on? What’s the real reason and mystery hiding inside this story?reply 4 0
