“Hi Times Radio,
I was genuinely intrigued as to what kind of a message Mr Burnham might present to the nation in his speech, (and I was ambivalent and open to just listen with interest and respect), but within minutes, my heart sunk.
Why?
Because addressing certain people as ‘Burnhamites” was, to me, one of the most self indulgent and cringing comments I’ve heard from any politician in quite a while and in that moment I lost interest and respect for the man entirely to the point that his voice has now been droning in my ear as I’ve preferred to concentrate on emailing Times Radio with my thoughts.
Because of that faux pas, I just stopped listening the moment he uttered that silly phrase.
