In ancient Greece, prior to the birth of Socrates and the profound paradigm shift that would rewire the Western world’s philosophical software and outlook, the world was perceived to have been created by “The Gods” and, apart from one imaginative Greek called Aristarchus of Samos who pondered heliocentric ideas about the Earth back in Greece in 300BC, the Earth (and the Catholic Church) was presumed to represent and promote a geocentric idea of the universe right up until the 1500’s when Nicolaus Copernicus dared to counter that idea.
Thing is, though, throughout history, humanity has tried to explain reality only in the manner and way they happen to see the world at their own particular time. Hence, to Newton, the universe was a CLOCK, to later folk it was a COMPUTER and, currently, our civilisation sees the workings of the universe either as a 2 dimensional hologram orbiting the event horizon of a black hole in the form of INFORMATION or, as some are now suggesting, a SIMULATION.
Me? I see the workings of the universe in the same way some of our earliest civilisations once saw it; that being a concept of all of us, eventually, returning to the WHOLE or some greater consciousness existing outside of the ‘headset’ we use to see the tiny fraction of reality we observe while in the roll of acting as avatars of the conscious agent we host while in our own particular life cycles.
