Online life
In many ways, this page, (and certainly the accompanying pages relating to Beach elsewhere on this site), represents the most important and fundamental component of my whole enduring existence these last 20+ years because, well, without Beach, (an online persona I created to escape my spiralling out of control real life), I would definitely not still be here writing these very words on this page.
Intriguing? Disturbing? Absolutely, because, at a time in my life, circa 1999, when the extra-ordinary success and challenges of The Gravity Venture had taken their toll upon me, I was in a deep, deep dark hole having just witnessed and experienced all that I’d ever held dear being taken from me.
I’d contemplated taking my own life but, by being able to discuss painful issues anonymously online on a little friendship site called Midsummer, had been able to work my way through many of the issues I faced.
