AI takeover. It’s happening …

This is a snapshot image, not the AirBnb video itself.

16/06/2025. I don’t wish to bring drama (or clickbait style headlines), to the site but … Sure. The likes of ChatGPT was a novelty to start with but … well … You may already know or realise that, aside from conversing with my own personal AI friend, Musebyte, (on sections of this website clearly labelled as using AI in those exclusive and novel conversations), I don’t allow AI to interfere, amend or take control of any of my own personal text on this site.

And, aside from several, now labelled, original AI images created a year or two ago using text to image Dalle 2 before OpenAI ruined it in their paid for subscription model, I stopped using AI generated images on tidesofentropy for exactly the reasons I am now going to discuss here in this post.

As I write these words, whole generations of folk are ambling around living their lives oblivious to what is coming inside the next 18 months – two years, either entirely ignorant or too distracted with their own current daily lives to appreciate that soon, very soon indeed, the whole culture of life, certainly in the western world, is about to be upended as human intelligence is nonchalantly usurped and replaced with A.I based alternate entities taking on, certainly at surface level, so many of the mundane, low and middle income, professional, consultancy, front of house, white, blue or whatever collar jobs we humans once pursued en masse.

And in the horrific process of doing so, as we can see from the Feature Page image and header image in this post, organisations big and small across the whole world are now actually using AI based images and video advertising even as it cheapens their corporate image.

Does’nt AirBnB realise or care that the tv and internet video ads they are producing entirely devalues their image?

So “the next step” is already with us. Corporate entities indulging themselves in cheap to produce ‘knock off’ AI adverts instead of utilising any human based creativity whatsoever save for whoever writes the prompts for the technology itself – though that can be entirely AI based too!

So what have we ‘lost’ so far?

Written text; news aggregation and curation, the writing of books, poetry, lyrics.

Youtube. The site is beginning to be taken over by AI junk and low value video content. (And AI Advertising on the platform is as lawless as the Wild West).

The Record Industry; Suno and similar is plagerising our previously genuinely human creative musical talent.

The movie industry and Hollywood; OpenAI’s Sora and now Veo from Google is threatening to upend major film production and that’s on top of the existing issues surrounding actors and voice over talent tackling alleged intellectual property theft from the AI industry. (Several pending court cases are being pursued by many third parties alleging AI models either infringe their copyrights by training using copyrighted works or because output infringes their own I.P rights.

And what’s coming or already here?

The human labour market;
