Diet regime

Although the topic I am going to discuss here has been making headlines globally for quite some time, a news story in early October 2024 caught my attention here in the UK.

The subject was a radical weight-loss medication called Ozempic, and it had seized the spotlight—but for all the wrong reasons.

Originally developed as a diabetes drug, Ozempic (and similar medications) became widely sought after due to a weight-loss side effect. People without diabetes were now using the self-injected jab to shed weight rapidly, despite the risks of potentially serious—and occasionally deadly—side effects. This off-label use also led to supply shortages, leaving genuine diabetic patients struggling to access their prescribed medication.

While all of this was intriguing, another aspect of the story truly caught my attention.

Apparently, the primary mechanism by which Ozempic facilitates weight loss is by suppressing hunger pangs. In other words, the drug satisfies the body’s food cravings, creating a scenario where many people can lose weight with relative ease.

And that simple fact fascinated me.

I thought to myself: OK, if we were talking about a drug that delivered some ingenious biological solution to an otherwise insurmountable medical issue, I could understand why it might be lauded as a “miracle drug” or command a multi-billion-dollar valuation on the stock market. But as far as weight loss is concerned, drugs like Ozempic offer what I would describe as a pseudo-discipline—mimicking the effects of self-control without requiring the genuine human effort to develop it.

And in that split second, I realised I could recreate the “miracle” of Ozempic quite swiftly and without any side effects whatsoever … by simply programming and instructing my own formidable mind to emulate and deliver similar useful “side effects” … purely by applying my own previously well tested idiosyncratic discipline and willpower that has always served we well throughout my own life!!

Thus, from the 6th of October 2024, when I weighed 16 stone 7 pounds, I began my own self imposed Ozempic free dietry discipline and today, the 23rd of January, 2025, I can happily report, (and show via my PDF based diary included here on my website), that my current weight is just 14 stone ten pounds, with me having lost nearly two stone in just over 3 months.
